The "S" after your team name indicates that you have requested for a steersperson for practice and race.

Please note that it is recommended (But not Necessary ) that all team members participate in at least one practice..

We have three steers people available to help during practices. If you have a steersperson that would like to volunteer some time steering for other teams during practices, please let us know. It would be a great opportunity for them to practice their skills and a great help to us and the other teams. Thank you

If your team is available for an earlier practice please let us know and we will try to accommodate your schedule.

It is also mandatory for the team captain to make sure that we are informed if you need a steersperson for your practice and race at least 24 hours ahead of time.

Extra Coached practices:
Extra Coached practices can be purchased if your team requires them.  Extra practices cost $8.50 per person per one hour coaching session.  (We charge on a per person basis so that if everyone on a team is not available the cost does not go up for individuals.  Minimum cost is based on 12 paddlers $102 which = 12 x $8.50 so if there were only 10 people in the boat the cost would remain at the minimum of $102 equaling $10.20 per person. If there were 16 in the boat the cost would be $136 etc.

Extra team practices:
(rental of dragonboat, PDF and paddles is $60 per hour including park entrance for registered teams)
Booking extra team Practices? Select any of the extra available practice times  complete the form above on the practice page with your  team info and requested times. Once the practice times you have selected have been confirmed and posted on the website you can pay by credited card using the Paypal link below or by bringing a check to practice. Please note if you miss your scheduled extra practice you will still be responsible for the payment. 

We will hold a steering clinic for any interested steerspersons on Monday September 11 at 6:00 pm.  We strongly encourage at least two people from every team to take advantage of these free clinics.  Even if these people do not want to steer during the race...we hope that they will come out and get the 'feel' of the boat from the steerspersons position.
