The Rainier Dragons and Washington Dragon Boat Association are proud to present an inaugural dragon boat festival that will become another of the many premier competitive dragon boat events in the Pacific Northwest. The Festival is sanctioned by the Pacific Dragon Boat Association USA (PDBA). The race is open to all teams from the U.S. and Canada, 250 and 500 meters, mixed and open teams. Prizes and more! Come enjoy fast racing on the salt water of the Puget Sound, view the snow capped majesty of Mt. Rainier to the east and the spectacular Olympia Mountains to the west, all visible from the race venue. Enjoy Tacoma, Washington, the City of Destiny, nestled in the heart of the Pacific Northwest and is the cultural center for the South Puget Sound Region. Why is the event in May?  This two day event will include both 250 and 500 meter races, with women's, mixed, men's, and BCS divisions. There will also be a special challenge race- the National Capital Challenge. We invite teams from other national capitals to join their sister team from Washington, the DC Dragons, in a special race on both days to celebrate our communal spirit. The Original -- Dragon Boat Barrel Racing, Saturday 1 July. Green Lake, Seattle. All the fun of a rodeo but without the dirt and horse. Come by your lonesome or with pals. Your teammates will be drawn from a hat. No club teams race together. Left turns and right turns on a 250 meter course that takes about four minutes. Dragons On The Hudson is a part of Peekskill Celebration. We are in
our 4th year of Dragons On The Hudson and we are excited about the
possibilities for 2008 including, an expanded Competitive Division, an
increase in the number of Corporate Teams, more fundraising opportunities for
area non-profit organizations and our first annual Paddle Party!

Established in 1997, the annual Peekskill Celebration is the largest
festival in the Hudson Valley, attracting over 30,000 people from the New
York City metropolitan area. The festivities showcase the historic
City of Peekskill's colorful maritime heritage and its vibrant cultural
and commercial life.

Professionally-produced and growing every year, the Celebration is a
fun, family-friendly series of events filled with food, fireworks, music,
crafts, dragon boat races and more, all of which take place in a
stunning setting along the Hudson River.

Dragonheart Vermont is excited to be hosting a one-of-a kind event just
for breast cancer survivor dragon boat teams. It is a survivor workshop,
paddling clinic, challenge races, and celebration all in one.

A community and club race held in Burlington, VT on beautiful Lake
Champlain. There will be a breast cancer survivor division. We will be
raising funds for an ultrasound machine for the radiation oncology
department of Fletcher Allen Hospital.
