| Wairarapa Regatta at Henley Lake Wellington Teams take the opportunity to test their skills and teamwork before entering the fray of March's main event. Racing takes place over a 300m course on Henley Lake. With almost all Wellington crews involved many camp overnight to take full advantage of the social atmosphere generated by this event. |

National Dragon Boat Festival 2005 19 - 20 March 2005 Viaduct Harbour Auckland This year Auckland City is a proud sponsor of this event, a favourite on the summer events calendar and important contributor to building and maintaining a strong and healthy community. Teamwork, team cohesion, self-esteem, budgeting and improved communication skills are but a few of the attributes extensively developed onboard the Dragon Boat. Teams will start training for this event which provides a unique blend of sport, culture and celebration in the Viaduct Harbour from 8 November 2004. On competition weekend, over 30 open and corporate teams, and more than 45 secondary school teams race to determine the champions. In 2005, Auckland will also host the National Championships bringing teams form all over the country to compete.

We are hosting the Dragon Boating component of the 2007 PanPacific masters games on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th November 2006. The PanPacific Masters Games involves over 10,000 participants, 70 different sports and from 30 different countries for 2 weeks of intense fun and competition.
