This event is the last event of the season...so make sure you get your last racing 'fix' in before the season ends!
This dragonboat event will be like no other you have ever attended.
Bonus Races included in the race fee
If you have not been to any of the previous Lively Dragon Christie Lake Events then you may not know what the flag-fetching race is.
The drummer sits on the drum seat backwards and the steersperson directs the team to the first flag pole on the race course... the drummer reaches to grab the flag from the 'pole'...once the drummer has it the steersperson points the team towards the next flag...which will be directly sideways across the race course! This race is a true slalom! The number one rule?... no team can cross the finish line without all four flags...so if you miss one... back it down and get it!
Registration includes park entrance fees for 25 people!!!!!!!! The chosen charity is to be announced at a later date. There will be prizes to top fundraisers.... and we look forward to supplying you with a pig roast after the race day is over! Advance tickets will be on sale for $15. Come on out and have a great day!
There will be a BBQ and a beer tent during the day. The band will entertain
us into the evening...so partake in the festivities and plan to camp at Christie
Lake on Highway #5 on Saturday Sept 22nd!
We encourage you to bring your family and friends to this gorgeous park, cheer
you on, and feel the excitement. Registration begins Feb 1
