Hi Everyone !

ok ok... Its not quite a dragon boat... But you have to give me credit for
trying!
Cost of the River Run is $25 per person. Everyone must
fill out waivers... Please bring them the day of the RR. We need
confirmation and all payment in by Oct 1 . There is a recommended maximum of
16 people in each boat so there is room for coolers (for potluck lunch) No
drummer on the boats. And everyone will be encouraged to try their hand at
steering. (but not forced...*smile*)
Directions to Cayuga are like this.... click here
Google Map to Cayuga
our use the box below or written directions below that.

Hwy#6 to Caledonia. Turn left at the light in the center of town, onto Hwy
#54 (before the 9 arch bridge at the grand river...if you cross the
river...you have gone too far) After you make the left follow the road
through the town of York and on to Cayuga. It is a very nice relaxing drive.
IF you are not rushed!
Give yourself lots of time.
Take a right on #3
Left on a small street called Cayuga
Right on a small street called Brant
You will come right down to a boat launch. You can park any where along the
river.
Please remember it will be early Saturday morning. NORMAL
people may still
be asleep.
..so lets respect them and close car doors quietly...keep laughter
down to a minimum...and keep voices low.
Dunville is an approximate 20min drive away but it will
take longer than that to paddle! It is 27km. I really think we should meet
at 9:00am but if you need to get waivers signed and such then you need to
have your group meeet earlier.
We will not get in the boat till everyone warms up and
stretches. We do not want any injuries! Also...everyone must sign waiver
forms and medical forms are recommended but are optional .
We hope to set sail... hmmm...no sail...
we hope to have our first command of "TAKE IT AWAY...nice and easy" (hehehe...can
everyone else hear Ramsay's voice in this email?...hahaha) promptly at 10am
But please do not show up at 9:45am...you will need to get your boat packed
with coolers and gear. Then loading the boat... Ideally we would like to
have the first couple of boats starting to actually load people in the boat
by 9:45am so that the last boat is loaded and away from the dock by 10am.
Here is a list of some ideas as to what we need for our lunch. buns, cold
cuts, cheese, veggies, salad s (don't forget serving spoons), fruit tray, I
will bring plates napkins and cutlery...
Car shuttle
