IDBF Race Rules

Hello Teams!
Please review the chart below to select each of "2" practice times for your team. Complete the form at the bottom of this page to send us your time selections. Thank You.

Practice Schedule

Free steering clinic Monday June 1 6:00- 7:00 pm

Steering and commands (recommended reading)

Paddling technique and more (recommended reading)

The "RS" after your team name indicates that you requested a steersperson for race day. A "(S1-3)" is for requesting a  steersperson for practice.

Get your practice selection chosen early, If (S1-3) have been selected in your time slot and you need a steersperson you will need to choice a different time slot.

Please note that it is recommended (But not Necessary ) that all team members participate in at least one practice..

We have three steers people (S1-3) available to help during practices. If you have a steersperson that would like to volunteer some time steering for other teams during practices, please let us know. It would be a great opportunity for them to practice their skills and a great help to us and the other teams. Thank you

If your team is available for an earlier practice please let us know and we will try to accommodate your schedule.

It is also mandatory for the team captain to make sure that we are informed if you need a steersperson for your practice and race at least 24 hours ahead of time.

More practices can be purchased if your team requires them.  Extra practices cost $9 per person per one hour coaching session.  (We charge per person so that if everyone is not available you the cost does not go up for individuals.  Minimum of 12 people in boat for an extra practice)

We will hold a steering clinic for any interested steerspersons on Monday June 1 at 6:00 pmWe strongly encourage at least two people from every team to take advantage of these free clinics.  Even if these people do not want to steer during the race...we hope that they will come out and get the 'feel' of the boat from the steerspersons position.
